Trump maybe wrong about a lot of things, but he is right about one thing - America is finally as fucked up as he was claiming in his incoherent rants lol.
I don’t hate people who support Trump and don’t agree with me. I hope people don’t take this as a sign that its ok to hate your fellow human being, just because he/she is a member of the press, from another faith, country or political affiliation.

Haha Harambe got like 11,000 votes!
Gary got 3 million!!!!!!
Hillary lost by like 1.2 million votes. But I don’t know if that would have mattered, because Trump got the electoral votes quick.

The best part of this is we are guaranteed many more years of good comedy material for late night TV. The past 16 years have been fair but we haven’t had really good material since Nixon or Reagan.

If Biden had run, we would all be singing a different tune this morning. Instead, we had to choose between a questionable billionaire and a questionable politician.
My guess is that Trump won because too many people chose not to vote for yet another Clinton. People voted against candidates, not for them. More disliked Clinton than they did Trump.
It was the same premise that got Obama elected, but for a different group: Hope and Change. Now we, as citizens, have the job of coming together, rallying behind the process, and try to civilly influence our lawmakers towards solutions that make some sense for everybody.

We will never know...
Some people are saying Bernie would have won if the Democratic party didn’t stack the odds against him.
But the fucked up thing is Biden was a creepy dude among women sometimes.
And he sponsored a lot of the laws that have lead to America’s problem of mass incarceration. (I can’t blame Hillary for what her husband did)

The Trump campaign really brought out the shittiest people from the wood work though. David Duke claimed Trump’s victory as his own almost. And there have been so many reports of rampant and public xenophobia and racism in Britain after Brexit - something that I hope doesn’t increase from what we already have.
America needs to get its shit together.

Biden’d in luck I guess, because it appears being a creepy dude among women (or even girls) is not even a slight obstacle to being President.

And the worst part is suicide rates are already spiking among minorities who are set to lose all of the progress they’ve ever made.
There is no upside.

I’ve personally thought of our country being screwed up since the Vietnam era. Its pretty much been a struggle for many since then, few years of prosperity for anyone except the American elite. This country has preached equality for all but I can’t say its ever been achieved.

My background started as upper middle class white coastal NC but now I’m lower middle class in Ohio. My future was shot down when Reagan’s administration killed some programs that were funding a job I was in pursuit of. I went from going into a coastal ecology job that was a watchdog for nuclear industry to being forced into an oil exploration job in TX. Quit after 7 yrs to find a life again, nothing has panned out since. When GM had its issues I almost lost my present job, my pay dropped and I had to sell personal property to pay my mortgage for a couple of months. Never thought in a million years I’d be in a pawl shop so I could keep my house. Other than my 50 hr a week normal grind I’ve done side jobs and under the table work for 25 yrs to get ahead. Where is that American Dream we’ve all heard about? I’m not certain it really exists except for a few of the lucky or privileged.

To be honest, I learned about the Harambe thing from Twitter and about Gary from Reddit comments lol
I looked into this after your response and this is what I found -
Turns out that they can’t really count who was written how many times. But that number doesn’t surprise me.
Gary got like 4 million votes though.
Also, all the votes hadn’t been counted when I made that comment. Hillary ended up winning the most number of regular votes by a margin of like 500k.
